The Pre-Build

I wanted to get an idea of how the dragon was going to look after getting the basic skeletal pieces done, so I assembled it in my front yard. It was great to see her take shape.

The tape is there to keep the mouth from flying open, and to keep her from biting me.

I added a horizontal member to the larger ribs to hold their shape better.

Testing the wing joints. I inserted the wings (1" pipe) into the wing joints (1-1/4" pipe), drilled a hole through both, and dropped my pin through to hold them in place.
