The Raw Materials

Based on my drawings I bought a host of PVC connectors, lengths of PVC and flex drain, and several rolls of duct tape (it ended up taking five rolls, did I mention this was my first time with something like this?)

Shopping List
(5) 1-1/4" x 12' PVC
(2) 1" x 12' PVC
(1) 1/2" x 12' PVC
Assorted PVC connectors
(1) Can of PVC glue
(2) 1/4" pins (to hold the wings on)
(1) 12' threaded rod with nuts and bolts for the wing joint
(1) 4' x 8' x 6" foam (head, legs & tail)
(1) 4' x 8' x 2" foam (lower jaw)
(5) Rolls of black Duct Tape
15 yards back and head fabric (maybe more if you want to make a matching dress for the singer)
3 yards of wing fabric
9 yards of belly fabric
1 box 1-1/4" nails (sharpest possible, as you'll be poking through fabric)
(8) Plastic Ninja Swords (horns and teeth)
(10) Plastic Ninja Scythes (nails)
(4) 15' rolls of double-sided sticky Velcro
(2) 4" hamster balls
(4) cheap LED flashlights
(1) two position switch (one position for eyes red, one position for eyes yellow)
(1) yellow Easter egg bag (stuffed into hamster ball eyes)
(1) tester side black paint (inside mouth and back of eyes)
(1) tester size can red paint (tongue & touching up nail heads

Laying out the connections on the floor helped me make sure I was getting all the right pieces

6" and 2" foam

PVC and drain pipe

Got a good deal on 500' of irrigation drip pipe

The pins for holding on the wings and the threaded rod for the wing hinge.

God bless the makers of duct tape
